Translate Japanese to English for me?

I was looking through a Japanese magazine I had, and was curious on what the instructions said for this Pikachu food thing. It's in Japanese, so if anyone who understands Japanese could translate it to English, I'd appreciate that.

Oh, and it's not exactly a word per word translation. I took the liberty of adjusting the translation to suit English wherever possible, and to make the steps easier to understand.

ピカチュウ茶巾ずし = Pikachu Chakin zushi



(1) ボウルに, 溶き卵1/2個, 砂糖少々を入れ, 同量の水で溶いた片栗粉小さじ1/2を加えて混ぜる。

= (1) In a bowl, beat 1/2 eggs, add a little sugar, dissolve 1/2* teaspoon of potato starch in same amount of water, add and mix (to the eggs)



*I'm not sure whether this is 1 or 2 teaspoons, or half a teaspoon.





(2) フライパンを熱いして, サラダ油少々を薄くひき, (1) を流し入れ弱火で両面を焼き, 薄焼き玉子を作る。

= (2) Heat up the frying pan, add a little salad oil** thinly. Pour the mixture in step (1) and fry using low heat until both sides are cooked, to make usuyaki tamago (thin omelette) [note: see link below]



**says here salad oil, but I guess vegetable oil works too





(3) 子ども茶わん 1 杯弱のすし飯と, しゃけフレーク小さじ 1, 茹でて刻んだほうれん草小さじ 1 を混ぜ合わせる。

= (3) To about one bowlful of sushi rice (children's rice bowl), mix 1 teaspoon of salmon flakes, and spinach which has already been boiled and chopped.





(4) (2)の中央に(3)を軽くにぎって置き, ピカチュウの顔の形になるように, 包む。

= (4) Place the rice in step (3) in the middle of the egg in step (2), and lightly mold it so that it takes the shape of Pikachu's face, and wrap.





(5) のりをカットして, 目 (白い部分はご飯つぶ), 囗, 鼻を作り, 水で湿らせて (4) にのせる。スモークサーモンをカットしてほおを作る。

= Cut some Nori*** for the eyes (the white part is made of a grain of rice), the mouth, the nose, and use water to make it damp and stick it on the face from step (4). Cut out some smoked salmon to make the cheeks.



***A type of seaweed used in sushi making.
