i need it for a school assignment. if you guys also know where i can download japanese font for windows xp that will be helpful, my computer is not reading any of the characters.

kayla|||Kayla, you're never going to learn Japanese if you try to use an online translator to do your homework for you.
And, what's worse, it will be insanely obvious that you used an online translator and your teacher will NOT think very highly of you.|||If you computer support XP, then your regional language control options should be able to support Far Easten Language.
Go to control panel%26gt;Regional and Language Options%26gt;Keyboards and Language%26gt;Change Keyboard%26gt;ADD%26gt;Japanese IME and apply it.
It should enable your Japanese characters to show up.
If you need to translate English, try asking here. Online translator dont work the way you want unless you understand the language that you are translating to. PS: most translator translate english to Kanji/Hiragana.
