im thinking about translating some English songs into Japanese, but im not sure if it would be good practice. is it worth my time?|||I would say not so much, because you have no way to know if they are correct or not unless you have someone to confer with.
Better to take something in Japanese like music or magazine articles, movies that you can safely assume are correct, and translate them into English (assuming that's your native tongue). You can find a lot of popular Japanese TV series and movies already already subtitled online, and by Japanese law, any music performed on CD/cassette/vinyl/TV must include the words either displayed or printed, so you will always have the correct words in Japanese to reference, unlike western music where you can go around for years (even a lifetime) singing the wrong (and sometimes embarassing) words because lyrics aren't necessarily included with sold music.|||i would say no. working in a chinese resturant i learned a large number of people use kids cartoons like bugs bunny to learn how english words are used.
