I went to the control panel, keyboard options and added both options under Japanese. So was I wrong to hope that I could view japanese documents and webpages in English?|||It just means you'll be able to type japanese and view japanese text on webpages. No it will not instantly translate japanese into english. I wish haha :)

Will installing japanese on your OS translate a japanese webpage into english?
Ok so I installed japanese as a language on my computer (I have Vista) I was under the impression that when I used it, it would translate everything on the screen that was japanese into English. This sounds stupid but that's what I expected. It's not working.
